No… agencies was never in the plan. The BEST way to get your agency in the directory is to create an account for each of the models, individually, and point their links to each one to their pages on your agency site. While more time consuming, it’s something you only need to do one time. Just make sure each model has a unique email so their profile can be tied to their login.
The EASIEST way to get in the directory, is to sign up at least one model, and point one of the links to the agency home page.
While both methods will work, the best is to have the greatest number of models on there for the greatest exposure. If you only showcase one model, the only way they will be found is if someone is looking for their particular disability. Whereas if you have dozens of models with dozens of disabilities, you have a much better success rate for clicks to your agency page.

Thank you for your input. The whole point of the Tidepool is to make sure there isn’t fake content on there. That’s why every model who physically signs up, has to pass a couple of verification steps, including video verification. However, the site wouldn’t grow at a fast enough rate if that’s all we offered. That’s why we are adding profiles daily from around the web. There is a disclaimer on each of their profiles that states “This is an unverified profile and the current information listed for ________ may be outdated or incorrect.”
To address your concern, there is a disclaimer on profiles that states “Based on member feedback, this user profile may be a fake profile. Please exercise caution if you choose to enter into a transaction with ________ .”
Finally, there is also a board on the site called ‘Real or Fake’ to discuss which profiles are suspected of being fake. As of now, there are 59 profiles on the site and out of all of the profiles, only 2 are tagged with possible fake accounts. That’s a pretty decent ratio.

I think maybe he biggest issue is tidepool doesn’t offer anything that you can’t get else where (even here on ampdevlinks). Yes there are outdated links on this site or another but largely speaking there isn’t enough difference in quality to make it worth it for most devs. When given the option between potential flawed or out dated information database that is free vs a a paid up to date database, devs are almost always going to pick the free option. I wish i had potential solutions but i don’t. I would just hope you think about this and add real value that can’t be gained elsewhere in some form. good luck

I’d like to clear something up… and I’m gonna be super real with y’all.
The Tidepool was created as a passion project. I’ve been a web developer since 1995 and a devotee well before that. I have seen many amputee websites come and go. To this day, there is still no really well-maintained, curated directory of disabled models. Almost all are niched out and unfortunately, most of the info is outdated.
So, I saw a need… and filled a need.
At first, the Tidepool was meant to simply be a simple, FREE, directory of amputee model links (since that’s what I’m into). But, with those, you always have to click into every link to see if they were male/female, fat/skinny, old/young, etc… So, the Tidepool started to evolve. First, by adding photos to their listing. Then a photo became galleries, bios, links, and eventually… full profiles. The directory then needed to become searchable and sortable based on tags. Then, what about having the models sign on and update their profiles, messagewith users, and promote themselves… as if LinkTree made a baby with OnlyFans, but without the bullshit fees? That was gonna require some serious architecture, server power, speed, security, etc.
The point is, this side project that originally was gonna be done in a few hours one weekend became a major build that cost me several hundred hours of design and development time, as well as a bunch of money on servers, plugins, tools, etc. And I’m still not even close to finished with what I envision this website to be. My goal is to build an end-all-be-all website that would add real value to not just our amputee community, but communities for all disabilities. In order to do that, and try to keep it well-maintained, updated, etc… I (unfortunately) have to charge a nominal subscription fee.
I thought to myself… what would I be willing to pay for a website where I can easily search for who/what I’m looking for. Then, contact them on all of their other websites, and possibly chat with them directly about content sales. No more having to pay $5, $10, $25 to see if the person in the crappy profile photo whose leg is hidden was actually an amputee or not. To not have to grab my wallet and subscribe to yet another profile, just for the ability to send them a message and say “hey… do you do customs?” After the dust settled, I figured those features were well worth $7.
So, after all of the back and forth with myself, other long-time devotees, and several VERY helpful models out there… the Tidepool was officially born.
Now, I know the platform is new. There are lots of bugs to squash and lessons to be learned. But I am hoping you’ll give the platform a chance and work with me to help make it better. Bad press is the last thing this site needs right now. If you see something that needs improvement, a feature that should (or shouldn’t) be on there… please… let me know! I know… the site was down off and on for about 2 hours earlier today because I had to implement some custom code.
It seems that some people last night while I was asleep found a way to bypass the payment portal and create an account for free. I spent the morning verifying and cleaning up (deleting) those accounts. I then spent the next 6 hours writing code to do a real-time check with Stripe every time someone logs in to see if they have paid and their subscription is active.
What an absolute waste of time… time that could have been spent adding new models to the site. But as always, it’s a few selfish a-holes that ruin it for the rest of us.

Thank you for your comment. The Tidepool is kind of like ampdevlinks, but on steroids. It also doesn’t just cover amputees, but (will) include many other physical disabilities as well. I know that might not appeal to many on this board, but there are many people out there with different fetishes for various disabilities, and this directory is designed to accommodate them.
On the paying side, members get access to profiles—which you can see a screenshot of under the directory—that are carefully scraped by hand from around the web. This is the “Linktree” part of the site I spoke about in an earlier comment. While not a huge leap from ampdevlinks in this respect, the links are curated and will hopefully stay valid when an AI link-checker is enabled down the road. Amdevlinks has so many dead links, clicking in and out of profiles, it’s not efficient at all. While this alone is a nice feature, it’s not really worth charging for… this was my original idea with the website. But that soon disappeared when my mind started racing on how I could make the site better and offer more value.
The REAL goal for Tidepool is for the actual models to sign up directly and manage their own profiles. When a model signs up, they go through video verification to earn a “verified” badge and unlock additional profile options. The most important of these is that paying members can message verified models directly to discuss content sales.
After speaking with dozens of models about why they use platforms like OnlyFans, Chaturbate, etc… most said it’s because they are easy to use, allow them to get discovered, and can easily sell content. But at the same time, almost all dislike paying fees to those sites for the work they do. Most say it’s too high and unfair. On this, I agree.
The current version of the Tidepool was born out of the idea of creating a place where for a small fee, members can now freely message any of the models on the platform. And models can freely discuss and coordinate content sales (off-site) without another website taking a cut of those sales. If they choose not to work off-site, for whatever reason, they are still free to point members to sites like OnlyFans, Chaturbate, etc and they can finish transactions there. The point is now it’s completely their choice how they want to run their “business”.
Building and maintaining this kind of platform has taken hundreds of hours of development, significant costs, and will require ongoing work to keep it secure, fast, and reliable. The $7 membership fee I am asking isn’t going to make me rich, but will help cover these costs so I can keep improving the site and supporting both members and models. While not free… I hope you can realize that $7 is truly a small price to pay for a trustworthy, searchable directory with direct access to verified models, and access to other options that will be coming down the road on the site.

You probably forgot one type of membership, which is agencies. Is this on purpose?
No… agencies was never in the plan. The BEST way to get your agency in the directory is to create an account for each of the models, individually, and point their links to each one to their pages on your agency site. While more time consuming, it’s something you only need to do one time. Just make sure each model has a unique email so their profile can be tied to their login.
The EASIEST way to get in the directory, is to sign up at least one model, and point one of the links to the agency home page.
While both methods will work, the best is to have the greatest number of models on there for the greatest exposure. If you only showcase one model, the only way they will be found is if someone is looking for their particular disability. Whereas if you have dozens of models with dozens of disabilities, you have a much better success rate for clicks to your agency page.

Thank you for your input. The whole point of the Tidepool is to make sure there isn’t fake content on there. That’s why every model who physically signs up, has to pass a couple of verification steps, including video verification. However, the site wouldn’t grow at a fast enough rate if that’s all we offered. That’s why we are adding profiles daily from around the web. There is a disclaimer on each of their profiles that states “This is an unverified profile and the current information listed for ________ may be outdated or incorrect.”
To address your concern, there is a disclaimer on profiles that states “Based on member feedback, this user profile may be a fake profile. Please exercise caution if you choose to enter into a transaction with ________ .”
Finally, there is also a board on the site called ‘Real or Fake’ to discuss which profiles are suspected of being fake. As of now, there are 59 profiles on the site and out of all of the profiles, only 2 are tagged with possible fake accounts. That’s a pretty decent ratio.

I think maybe he biggest issue is tidepool doesn’t offer anything that you can’t get else where (even here on ampdevlinks). Yes there are outdated links on this site or another but largely speaking there isn’t enough difference in quality to make it worth it for most devs. When given the option between potential flawed or out dated information database that is free vs a a paid up to date database, devs are almost always going to pick the free option. I wish i had potential solutions but i don’t. I would just hope you think about this and add real value that can’t be gained elsewhere in some form. good luck

I’d like to clear something up… and I’m gonna be super real with y’all.
The Tidepool was created as a passion project. I’ve been a web developer since 1995 and a devotee well before that. I have seen many amputee websites come and go. To this day, there is still no really well-maintained, curated directory of disabled models. Almost all are niched out and unfortunately, most of the info is outdated.
So, I saw a need… and filled a need.
At first, the Tidepool was meant to simply be a simple, FREE, directory of amputee model links (since that’s what I’m into). But, with those, you always have to click into every link to see if they were male/female, fat/skinny, old/young, etc… So, the Tidepool started to evolve. First, by adding photos to their listing. Then a photo became galleries, bios, links, and eventually… full profiles. The directory then needed to become searchable and sortable based on tags. Then, what about having the models sign on and update their profiles, messagewith users, and promote themselves… as if LinkTree made a baby with OnlyFans, but without the bullshit fees? That was gonna require some serious architecture, server power, speed, security, etc.
The point is, this side project that originally was gonna be done in a few hours one weekend became a major build that cost me several hundred hours of design and development time, as well as a bunch of money on servers, plugins, tools, etc. And I’m still not even close to finished with what I envision this website to be. My goal is to build an end-all-be-all website that would add real value to not just our amputee community, but communities for all disabilities. In order to do that, and try to keep it well-maintained, updated, etc… I (unfortunately) have to charge a nominal subscription fee.
I thought to myself… what would I be willing to pay for a website where I can easily search for who/what I’m looking for. Then, contact them on all of their other websites, and possibly chat with them directly about content sales. No more having to pay $5, $10, $25 to see if the person in the crappy profile photo whose leg is hidden was actually an amputee or not. To not have to grab my wallet and subscribe to yet another profile, just for the ability to send them a message and say “hey… do you do customs?” After the dust settled, I figured those features were well worth $7.
So, after all of the back and forth with myself, other long-time devotees, and several VERY helpful models out there… the Tidepool was officially born.
Now, I know the platform is new. There are lots of bugs to squash and lessons to be learned. But I am hoping you’ll give the platform a chance and work with me to help make it better. Bad press is the last thing this site needs right now. If you see something that needs improvement, a feature that should (or shouldn’t) be on there… please… let me know! I joined and I get an error that the page doesn’t exist every time I log in.
I know… the site was down off and on for about 2 hours earlier today because I had to implement some custom code.
It seems that some people last night while I was asleep found a way to bypass the payment portal and create an account for free. I spent the morning verifying and cleaning up (deleting) those accounts. I then spent the next 6 hours writing code to do a real-time check with Stripe every time someone logs in to see if they have paid and their subscription is active.
What an absolute waste of time… time that could have been spent adding new models to the site. But as always, it’s a few selfish a-holes that ruin it for the rest of us.

Thank you for your comment. The Tidepool is kind of like ampdevlinks, but on steroids. It also doesn’t just cover amputees, but (will) include many other physical disabilities as well. I know that might not appeal to many on this board, but there are many people out there with different fetishes for various disabilities, and this directory is designed to accommodate them.
On the paying side, members get access to profiles—which you can see a screenshot of under the directory—that are carefully scraped by hand from around the web. This is the “Linktree” part of the site I spoke about in an earlier comment. While not a huge leap from ampdevlinks in this respect, the links are curated and will hopefully stay valid when an AI link-checker is enabled down the road. Amdevlinks has so many dead links, clicking in and out of profiles, it’s not efficient at all. While this alone is a nice feature, it’s not really worth charging for… this was my original idea with the website. But that soon disappeared when my mind started racing on how I could make the site better and offer more value.
The REAL goal for Tidepool is for the actual models to sign up directly and manage their own profiles. When a model signs up, they go through video verification to earn a “verified” badge and unlock additional profile options. The most important of these is that paying members can message verified models directly to discuss content sales.
After speaking with dozens of models about why they use platforms like OnlyFans, Chaturbate, etc… most said it’s because they are easy to use, allow them to get discovered, and can easily sell content. But at the same time, almost all dislike paying fees to those sites for the work they do. Most say it’s too high and unfair. On this, I agree.
The current version of the Tidepool was born out of the idea of creating a place where for a small fee, members can now freely message any of the models on the platform. And models can freely discuss and coordinate content sales (off-site) without another website taking a cut of those sales. If they choose not to work off-site, for whatever reason, they are still free to point members to sites like OnlyFans, Chaturbate, etc and they can finish transactions there. The point is now it’s completely their choice how they want to run their “business”.
Building and maintaining this kind of platform has taken hundreds of hours of development, significant costs, and will require ongoing work to keep it secure, fast, and reliable. The $7 membership fee I am asking isn’t going to make me rich, but will help cover these costs so I can keep improving the site and supporting both members and models. While not free… I hope you can realize that $7 is truly a small price to pay for a trustworthy, searchable directory with direct access to verified models, and access to other options that will be coming down the road on the site.
